TIPS MEMBUAT BANNER BALIHO

Ada beberapa hal yang harus di perhatikan bagi seorang desain grafis bila ingin mendesain sebuah banner maupun baliho, karena sizenya yang besar sehingga sangat mungkin mengurangi memory ram dan daya kerja di komputer, komputer kita bisa menjadi sangat lambat aksesnya dan akhirnya memakan waktu yang lama bahkan terkadang komputer bisa hang.

Tips berikut mudah-mudahan bisa bermanfaat khususnya para desain grafis maupun pengunjung blog ini. Tips ini juga hasil dari pengalaman liku-liku saya selama mengerjakan pembuatan banner, baliho dan sejenisnya.

membuat banner dan baliho bisa memakai adobephotoshop, coreldraw, illustrator dan freehand
karena proses akhir cetakan menggunakan mesin digital printing upayakan file terkonvert atau di-export ke file JPG dengan proses warna CMYK bukan RGB.
jangan pernah dilupakan bahwa dalam mengerjakan-nya harus menggunakan warna CMYK sekali lagi CMYK karena hukumnya Wajib dan di haramkan dalam dunia desain. Kenapa ? kenapa tidak boleh RGB, apa artinya RGB dan CMYK. silahkan baca penjelasannya tentang RGB dan CMYK.
jika ukuran banner sangat besar misal : 2m x 3m, 3m c 4m, 3m x 5m, 10m x 2m, 25m x 3m dan ukuran big size lainnya pakai alternatif resolusi 96 atau 100 dpi.
jangan membuat ukuran banner khususnya yang besar dan panjang dengan ukuran asli, pakai ukuran image sizenya dengan setengahnya misal ukuran 3×5 meter di perkecil 1.5 x 2.5m dg resolusi 100dpi (di potoshop).
ukuran big size sebaiknya menggunakan perbandingan dari aslinya misal 50% dari ukuran sebenarnya. gunakan imagesize di photoshop dan atur sesuai kebutuhan.
usahakan memoy sizenya di sheetnya tidak melebihi 500mb ( maksudnya memory yg dibutuhkan saat mengerjakan desain tersebut, biasanya bisa dilihat di toolbar nav bawah misal Doc: 100M : 50M
agar gambar tidak pecah ambil gambar ukuran sizenya diatas 150kb atau minimal bila di lihat gambar tidak pecah
jangan memaksakan gambar yang tidak maksimal karena sangat mempengaruhi hasil dan kualitas, sebagus apapun desain akan mengurangi mutu jika gambar pecah
resolusi gambar 72dpi bukan berarti gambar jelek dan pecah, coba di cek di photoshop lihat sizenya misal jika size 500pixel resulosi 72 artinya gambar cukup bagus
deteksi gambar pecah atau tidak harus dilihat resulosi dan pixelnya seimbang
di coreldraw setelah selesai lebih baik file diexport ke JPG dg resolusi 300 dpi dan original size serta image with CMYK. Semakin besar ukurannya maka resolusi harus dikurangi termasuk prosentasi size nya.

Point point diatas sebenarnya masih banyak lagi karena sebenarnya dasar-dasar pengerjaannya yang harus diketahui adalah seputar resolusi dan size serta pixel.. dalam artian diluar tehnis sejauh mana skill desainer tersebut mengerjakannnya.

Mengenal Ukuran Majalah, Brosur, Undangan dan Media cetak

Pada kebanyakan masyarakat umum yang biasanya suka membaca, melihat, bahkan menyimpan buku, brosur dan majalah ataupun koran sering mengabaikan hal-hal sepele yang mengarah pada masalah sebuah ukuran bentuk sebuah buku, majalah, brosur, poster dll.

Adakalanya di suatu instansi, sekolah-sekolah, universitas yang ingin membuat sebuah profil katalog atau majalah siswa dan brosur, tidak tahu seluk beluk ukuran kertas yang sebenarnya untuk disesuaikan dengan media percetakan dan desain grafis.

Sangat penting memperhatikan jenis kertas dan ukuran standar pembuatan Brosur, Majalah, Poster, Buku Kenangan, Lefleat, Undangan dll.

BROSUR : membuat brosur bentuk ukuran kertasnya ada beberapa pilihan yaitu A4, F4, Letter dan Custom. Hal ini sangat di anjurkan daripada memakai ukuran seenaknya sendiri karena ketentuan ukuran tersebut sudah dikondisikan dengan ukuran kertas plano (kertas ukuran besar sebelum dipotong-potong menjadi bagian tertentu, biasanya dijual khusus untuk distributor dan penjual grosir kertas), jadi sangat pas dan tidak berlebih yang bisa mengakibatkan terjadi pembengkakan biaya.
MAJALAH : membuat majalah sangat bervariasi ukurannya pada umumnya standar ukurannya adalah A4, Letter dan B5. atau F4
JURNAL : sering di pakai oleh universitas2 swasta dan negeri, maupun yang lainnya. ukurannya yang dipakai B5.
BULLETIN : sangat ideal untuk ukuran F4, atau A4
UNDANGAN : tidak ada ukuran yang diharuskan dan biasanya format ukurannya menyesuaikan dengan ukuran F4 misalnya 21,5 cm x 16,5 cm atau bisa juga 16,5 cm x 16,5 cm
TABLOID : ukuran umum 29 cm x 42cm sedangkan jumlah halamannya bisa dimulai dari 12, 18, 24, 32, 40, 64, yang penting kelipatan 4.
KORAN : pada umumnya juga sama dengan koran-koran yang ada di indonesia (kompas, jawa pos, jakarta pos, bali pos dll) tidak kurang dan tidak lebih pada kisaran ukuran 33,5cm x 55cm.
KOP SURAT : bisa pakai ukuran Folio (F4) atau Kwarto (A4)
NOTA : Standarnya mengacu pada ukuran folio kertas, tinggal mau dibuat ukuran berapa, bisa setengah folio, seperempat, atau sepertiga, menyesuaikan saja dengan kebutuhan jenis usahanya.
SERTIFIKAT / PIAGAM : pilihannya bisa Folio atau A4
IJAZAH : Yang sering digunakan adalah ukuran Folio dengan bahan kertas concord, linen, kinstrik, atau hammer.

Ukuran F4 (bahasa english) atau disebut Folio (versi indonesia) adalah 21,5cm x 33cm

Ukuran A4 atau kwarto adalah 21cm x 29,7cm

Membuat efek api Diablo dengan photoshop

Photoshop bisa membuat segalanya, sekarang saya akan mengajarkan bagaimana membuat api Diablo, ini api bukan foto lho ;p tetapi efek yang dibuat dengan menggunakan photoshop. Versi photoshop yang saya gunakan adalah v.Cs 2, tidak perlu Cs 3 untuk membuat ini.

Contoh jadinya seperti yang di samping, akan ada warna orange pada ujungnya dan ada warna kuning serta campuran warna merah dan juga ujung-ujung lidah api, semuanya akan terlihat sempurna. Ayo mari belajar membuat efek api ini. . .

Langkah yang harus anda lakukan :

Jalankan program photoshop anda
File - new - pilih ukuran default photoshop size
Beri fill hitam pada page dan gunakan elliptical marquee tool (pada toolbox), buatlah sebuah marquee tool horizontal (Lihat gambar di bawah)

Kemudian, beri fill putih pada elliptical marquee, lalu tekan ctrl + d untuk menghilangkan seleksi. Hasil akan tampak seperti gambar di bawah

Berikutnya, kita akan membentuk lidah api. Gunakan smudge tool dari toolbox, dan bentuklah lidah api. Anda bisa memvariasinya dengan mengatur size dan strength dari smudge tool

Selanjutnya, setelah anda mempunyai bentuk api, tinggal mengatur pewarnaannya. Click image - adjustment - color balance. Sekarang gunakan kreativitas anda, atur color balance di shadows, midtones, dan highlights. Di setiap bagian atur warna "Cyan, Magenta dan Yellownya". Bila sudah oke menurut anda, click Ok.

Identifikasi Keaslian Photo

Akhir-akhir ini kita dihebohkan dengan adanya foto-foto digital yang bergambar “syur” ada di internet. Bahkan orang yang ada dalam foto digital tersebut menyangkal bahwa gambar tersbut adalah foto mereka. Ada beberapa cara untuk mengenali apakah suatu foto digital itu asli atau telah direkayasa. Direkayasa dalam hal ini adalah foto tersebut sudah pernah di-edit atau retouching menggunakan software pengolah gambar misalkan: Adobe PhotoShop.
